7 year old neutered male Miniature Dachshund. Reddish-brown hair; short-haired, smooth coat. Weight when he left 11-12 lbs. 1.5-2 inch surgical scar on lower back; it appears to be a straight line seperating his hair.

Please describe what happened when you lost your pet.

Rudy was left with a friend for her to care for at her home while we went on vacation. He darted out of her home approximately 1 hour after we left. She called him and she stopped. She then chased him and asked others to help her to do the same. He ran approximately 1/2 mile, crossing Rte 273 to University Plaza. He was last seen running toward the Acme in University Plaza.
